En el álbum aparecen canciones como If Not For You (de Bob Dylan), Crazy Love (Van Morrison), Still the Same (Bob Seeger), Have You Ever Seen the Rain (John Fogerty), Love Hurts (Bon Jovi), It’s a Heartache (Bonny Tyler), Missing You (John Waite), Fooled Around and Fell in Love (Elvin Bishop), Day After Day (Badfinger), I’ll Stand By You (Pretenders)... Un repertorio de lujo que ha marcado el rock de nuestro tiempo, temas que ya son clásicos.

El primer single del álbum es la canción Have You Ever Seen the Rain de John Fogerty, que fue líder de la gran Credence Clearwater Revival. Algunos temas parecen compuestos para la rasposa voz de Rod Stewart, como It's a Heartache de Bonny Tyler o Fooled Around and Fell in Love, un tema de 1976 de Elvin Bishop y la canción más joven del álbum es I'll Stand By You, una balada que Pretenders, con Chrissie Hynde al frente, publicó en 1994.

El álbum ha sido producido por John Shanks (ganador en 2005 del Grammy al Productor del Año y reconocido por sus trabajos con Sheryl Crow y Melissa Etheridge) y Clive Davis. Entre los músicos de la banda que ha grabado el álbum están el batería Kenny Aronoff y y el guitarrista Dean Parks, instrumentistas de currículo infinito.
